Edmundo built his AI credentials before AI became a marketing department — at the seam where applied research meets heavy industry. At 30N, that lens sharpens the firm's thinking about technical due diligence and AI as a feature for optimization rather than just-because-it-sounds-cool AI. He is the Founder and CEO of Kauel Inc., a pioneering AI and computer vision company building applied AI for the energy, mobility, and industrial sectors. Before Kauel, he built his career at Endesa (Enel) and Sony Electronics, alongside research and teaching posts across Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, and the U.S., with additional studies at Stanford, UC San Diego, and the University of Chicago. He holds a Master's from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and a PhD from Universidad de Deusto. An IEEE member, Forbes-recognized CEO (2022), and 2024 honoree at the Internet 2.0 Conference in Dubai for global AI leadership, Edmundo is the one that founders call when AI needs to leave the lab and actually run on a P&L.
