Lorry is a technology platform built for Latin America's logistics industry; turning tire management, one of the largest and least visible cost lines on a fleet operator's balance sheet, into a source of efficiency, visibility, and margin, through a proprietary technology layer and a cost-per-kilometer (CPK) financing model.

The challenge.
In Latin America, tires are one of the largest and least tracked capital expenses on a logistics company's balance sheet — and one of the most expensive problems nobody is solving. Freight and transportation companies allocate substantial portions of their capital to non-core operational spending, starting with tires, while high staff turnover erodes institutional knowledge and legacy management tools make it nearly impossible to identify hidden costs. In Colombia alone, over 378,000 registered freight vehicles operate with almost no data-driven infrastructure behind their tire lifecycles, a potential tire market of more than 1.6 million units. This has created a massive opportunity to rewire an unglamorous but structural cost line, turning it from a drag on margin into a lever for operational leverage and financial visibility.

The solution.
Lorry is building the operating system for fleet tire management in Latin America — and financing it. Through a cost-per-kilometer (CPK) model, Lorry lets logistics companies pay for tires as they use them, instead of tying up capital upfront. Behind the financing sits a proprietary technology platform that manages every step of the tire lifecycle: inspection, pressure monitoring (TPMS), maintenance planning, retreading, and detailed brand-level performance analysis. The result is a category-defining play: uncovering hidden costs, extending tire lifespan, and giving operators the kind of asset-level visibility their legacy providers never offered. Early clients (including Transoil, Construcorp, GPR, and operations at Pacific Rubiales) have already seen tire efficiency improvements of ~10% to over 100%, retreadability jumping from 32% to 63%, and up to a 27.6% reduction in tire investment costs.

The founders.
Lorry was founded by Julio de Vivero (Co-Founder & CEO) and Efrain Ardila (Co-Founder & CTO) and is backed by a senior operating team including Juliana Beltran (CFO) and Andres Rocha (Chief of Operations). Julio brings nearly a decade of experience building innovative logistics and transportation solutions within Colombia's oil & gas industry, an environment where tire economics are most extreme and where the CPK model was first validated. Efrain, a former investment banker turned technology founder, has led innovation initiatives across the technology and energy sectors, and now anchors Lorry's proprietary platform. Juliana, an industrial engineer and former Bain & Co consultant, drives financial strategy and scaling. Andres brings 20+ years of tire industry experience with some of the region's largest fleets, including Postobon, Coca-Cola, Coltanques, Argos, and CEMEX. Together, this team pairs the operational discipline of oil & gas logistics with the technical rigor of a modern software company, paving the path to positioning Lorry as the reference operator for tire and fleet cost management in the region.
