Tomas Denecken

Managing Partner

Seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over eleven years of experience in the EMs ecosystem.

Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey with 30N Ventures, Tomas held a relevant position as a venture capital investor at Capria Ventures, a global VC fund backed by well-recognized figures such as Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Michael and Susan Dell, the Ford Family, among others. During his tenure at Capria, he invested in premier VC funds and startups across Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. This role gave him a unique global perspective on local business innovation and growth, and a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem across these geographically and culturally diverse regions.

Denecken’s experience expands beyond his role at Capria Ventures. He held executive positions as Chief Investment Officer, Country Manager (with an exit to OLX group), and Operations Manager in successful LatAm venture capital firms and companies all over LatAm and the US.

SOL BERTLSHOFER

Principal

Seasoned finance professional with more than 12 years of experience in financial analysis and management, investment and due diligence
processes, and strategic financial foresight.

After spending almost ten years in renewed financial institutions as Senior Analyst and Project Manager, she was appointed Principal in Wollef, a LatAm VC fund with over
USD 100M AUM. For almost five years, she led the investment strategy, portfolio management, and business development, negotiated
investment terms, and supported portfolio companies through growth
and exit strategies.

During her tenure, she significantly contributed to the fund’s growth, expanding its portfolio and the brand of the fund.

SALVADOR SAID

Managing Partner

Three-time entrepreneur, angel investor, and former investment banker.

Part of Salvador’s career is focused on Investment Banking and M&A. Moonvalley Capital alumni,
he led more than USD 1B in several transactions in different industries (such as Marketplaces, Real Estate, Retail, Consumer, Energy, and Fintech). In this firm, he also led the creation of the bank’s Venture Capital fund, investing in Foodtech and Logistics. In addition, he has worked in large institutions such as Endeavor New York, Endeavor Chile, and Startup Chile, the Government’s
accelerator and one of the top ones and more renewed in the world.

Salvador is also actively involved in their family’s businesses. The Said family is one of the most renewed business group in LatAm, having as main activities LatAm market leaders such as
Scotiabank, Coca Cola’s regional partner: Embotelladora Andina and Parque Arauco, one of the biggest malls and retail chains in the region. The Said Family is also the 30N Ventures’ anchor investor.

MATIAS ALCALDE

CFO

Experimented corporate finance executive with over 15 years of experience and extensive expertise in
overseeing debt and equity structures and formulating strategies for large-scale organizations. With vast experience in due diligence, financial analysis, investor relations, M&A, tax and accounting, he has established himself as a trusted leader .

Previously, Matias was the CFO at Transbank, the most significant Chilean fintech player, managing an annual budget exceeding USD 500M.
Also, he held executive positions at renowned firms such as KPMG, Ultramar, and Chile’s leading Proptech company Capitalizarme, where he also was CFO, being actively involved in 4 M&A processes and a USD 7M investment round.

DAN KRANZLER

Senior Partner

Philanthropist, experienced CEO, Managing Partner, Board President and Venture Partner with a demonstrated history of working to build successful startups in global markets.

Current Senior Advisor at the Wadhwani Foundation, former Senior Partner at Capria Ventures and Managing Partner at eFund, Dan is an early-stage investor of innovative technology
companies. As a Startup Entrepreneur for over 45 years managing and financing high–tech companies (early executive at ATT Wireless and investor at Starbucks, DocuSign, Zipline, among
others), Dan provides deep experience and insight to companies he invests in). In parallel, supported by The Gates Foundation, Dan spent ten years building Venture Basecamp, a program created to train and support entrepreneurs in Emerging Markets.

Senior management roles at telecom and internet companies, Advisor on wireless, technology,
organizational development, and the corporate innovation gap. Since 1984, Dan has been
investing in and advising tech startup companies whose combined equity values today exceed USD 30B.

JUAN LUIS PALMA

Venture Partner

Experimented investor and entrepreneur with a vast career spanning various continents, playing instrumental roles in renewed investment firms globally.

Formerly, Juan Luis served as the Investment Director at Capria Ventures. He was responsible for
the development and implementation of the sourcing process, due diligence process, and
investment process. His keen eye for opportunities allowed him to map investment opportunities across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, analyzing more than 500 potential investments in diverse sectors.

Before joining Capria, Juan Luis served as Chile’s Trade and Investment Advisor and
Commissioner in both the UK and the US. Also, was Fundraiser at Amundi Pioneer.
